On Friday the 27th from 6:30pm to 9:30pm, the Westland High School hall was jumping to a small but enthusiastic crowd. The Westland High School hall was decorated with mathematical posters to complement the dancing. Everyone found the dance of mathematics a lot of fun.
On Saturday afternoon from 1:30 to 3:30, again a small but keen crowd braved the weather to see Burkard, aka "The Great Burke" put on a great mathematical juggling show. Ben Martin got everyone involved with "Really Secret Codes" and quite a few budding mathematicians were able to crack the codes. Bill tried to fool everyone with a get rich puzzle, but the keen ones could not be fooled. We saw two ways to measure area in a forest.
A big thank you to Sally Richardson for helping organize the events.
